We were asked by The Barbican to create an exclusive 'text' necklace for their latest exhibition, The Vulgar.
The theme for the show is the constantly evolving notion of vulgarity in fashion. The exhibition itself features over 120 objects drawn from public and private collections ranging from historical costumes to couture and ready-to-wear looks. The Vulgar features contributions from leading designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Christian Dior, Moschino and Lanvin.
"Brilliantly over-the-top couture from the past 100 years is paired with historic items to give a history of 'bad' taste." The Sunday Telegraph
Our exclusive necklace features the word 'Vulgarian' laser cut from chunky 5mm baby pink frosted perspex with a mirrored gold shoe charm. The necklace hangs from a 19" gold plated chain and is available exclusivly from the exhibition shop.
The Vulgar runs from 13 October 2016 - 5 February 2017
