How to care for your laser cut acrylic jewellery

Whilst we ensure that your Little Moose jewellery reaches you in tip top condition, we want to make sure that you know how to look after it. With a little care, your jewellery should be with you for a long time.

General tips

Treat your jewellery with care - whilst durable, laser cut acrylic is not indestructable. We'd advise keeping your jewellery in its Little Moose box when you aren't using it. Definitely don't try juggling, fire eating or trapeze artistry.

Take care when when you're putting on handbags, jackets or giving your bestie a big squeeze - if you apply too much pressure you run the risk of damaging your Little Moose necklace. If you have one of our laser cut acrylic rings, be careful when you're putting on a jumper, shirt or coat to make sure it doesn't get snagged. Oh, and it's probably best not to try and sleep in your Alice in Wonderland Tea Party Necklace either!

Try not to get your jewellery wet. We use silver and gold plated chains which may tarnish. Our laser cut jewellery should be fine with the occasional drenching in a sudden thunderstorm, but please don't go swimming and try to dry it off as soon as possible.

Be very careful with perfumes, suncream, insect repellant and moisturisers. Sometimes, these can react with the acrylic and cause discolouration or a change of texture. Be especially careful with mirrored items. We'd recommend leaving your Little Moose jewellery off until you're ready to add the finishing touch.

Cleaning your jewellery

Keep your Little Moose  laser cut acrylic jewellery looking spick and span with a microfibre cloth (the kind you get with a pair of glasses) to remove dust and fingerprints. Make sure your cloth is clean and dust free and rub lightly to avoid scratching the jewellery surface. For anything more stubborn a little dab of water should do the trick.
