Little Moose hit Hyper Japan

Little Moose descended upon London Olympia last weekend to take part in the Hyper Japan Christmas Market, a seasonal follow up event to Britains biggest and best j-culture celebration, Hyper Japan.

Taking over Kensington Olympia with all things Japan, the Hyper Japan Christmas Market was the place to be if you were looking for Lucky Cats, Sushi, Sake, Alpaccaso and Cosplay costumes - and of course, Little Moose's quirky brand of handmade jewellery and kawaii inspired statement handbags.

As well as the bustling food hall, Hyper Japan had martial art demonstrations and a huge gaming zone (and an enticing Capcom stand) with Dance Dance Revolution professionals. The real focal point though was the incredible entertainment on the main stage. Hyper Japan Christmas Market hosted the prelims for the UK World Cosplay Summit - you didn't have to look very hard to see cosplayers walking around Hyper Japan, but the prelims on stage were amazing. We imagine the London underground had never seen anything like it!

Upstairs, where we were, dozens of stalls were set up offering jewellery, stationery and more - Alpacasso was literally everywhere. We decided to produce some exclusive Geisha Girl and Fox rings for the event, so if you managed to pick one up, you're in an exclusive club as we won't ever be selling them online.

A lot of our influence comes from j-culture. Our 'Dont Be Square' collection is heavily influenced by Japanese street style, with a little dose of kawaii thrown in as well. With character design at the forefront of our creations, we've always got an eye on Japan.

Our Doodllery Dinosaur Necklace, Sea Creature Octopus and Sloth Family Necklace were huge hits which was great - Hyper Japan was the first time we'd had our A/W 14 collection out in public.

When we weren't rushed off of our feet packing and polishing our acrylic jewellery, we were soaking in the amazing atmosphere of Hyper Japan and experiencing the show as much as we could. We'll definitely be back at Hyper Japan in 2015 - hope to see you there too!
